Legal Assistance
Out of an understanding that the recognition process carries within it an emotional journey — complex and destabilizing — we established the legal aid project in partnership with the Jerusalem Institute of Justice. The project's goal is to support the organization's members who wish to obtain recognition from the Rehabilitation Division, and to allow them to go through the process with a supportive framework of appropriate emotional and professional guidance.
Each participant in the project is paired with an emotional companion and a lawyer who work together as a team.
The team assists at every stage: scheduling appointments, submitting forms, mediating with various authorities, and holding joint conversations that help make the path clearer and more accessible.
Members are invited to take part in lectures and workshops led by the Jerusalem Institute of Justice's lawyers, receiving relevant information and tools. This way, each member receives not only legal representation, but also a full understanding of their rights at every stage of the process.
The Institute provides legal representation free of charge, from the stage of gathering and submitting documents all the way to representation before the committees.
